The Department of Economics of East West University hosted a Special Lecture of the course ECO7360 – Socio-Economic Profiles of Bangladesh, as part of its Economics Seminar Series on March 5, 2026. The lecture was given by Mr. Mohammad Masud Rana Chowdhury, Additional Secretary at the Statistics and Informatics Division, Ministry of Planning of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

The session, titled "Development Landscape of Bangladesh: Challenges and Way Forward," provided deep insights into the nation’s socio-economic profiles. Mr. Chowdhury drew upon his extensive experience as a former diplomat in Seoul and Brussels to enrich the discussion. Following the keynote, an open floor discussion allowed students and guests to engage directly with the Speaker.
