Professor Dr. Sakib Mahmud of the School of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin–Superior, USA, delivered a guest lecture titled "Two Economies, One Planet: Sustainability Trends in the USA and Bangladesh" on 26 July 2026. The lecture was attended by students enrolled in the Environmental and Natural Resource Economics courses (ECO 7354 and ECO 7260) offered by the Department of Economics. The courses are taught by Dr. Biva Arani Mallik, Associate Professor, and Senior Lecturers Mr. Ehsanur Rauf Prince and Ms. Pooja Agnes Gomes.
