Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship Development (PGDED)

The Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship Development (PGDED) program aims to practically train individuals to build their skills across several areas which are essential ingredients for creating and running a successful business enterprise. The goal is to create socially responsible entrepreneurs who will not only establish business ventures and be self-employed, but also create jobs for the youths of Bangladesh and make positive contributions to the economy.

The PGDED program includes hands-on workshops, training, and seminars conducted by renowned academicians, seasoned entrepreneurs, and industry practitioners. Besides, field visits and case studies from real-life businesses will enhance the students’ problem-solving skills which will better prepare them to manage and run their business enterprises. In the second semester, the students will work on their business idea and develop a business plan. Then they will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to investors in the investment fair organized by the program. East West University will also provide seed money for the outstanding project(s) as part of its social responsibility to promote new entrepreneurs.

Eligibility for Admission

  1. Completion of an undergraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.0
  2. Have a business idea

Credit Requirements

The PGDED is a program of 35 credits which are divided into three categories. Since students from diverse academic backgrounds are expected to join the program there are 3 foundation courses of 2 credits each, which are subject to waiver. 21 credits are compulsory which includes 8 courses of 2 credits each, and the incubator program which is of 5 credits. Besides, there are 8 credits assigned to field experience for practical learning. After completing the PGDED program, students will be eligible for course waiver if they enrol in the Master in Development Studies (MDS) program.
