I am currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at East West University (EWU). I completed both my Bachelor of Social Science (Hons.) and Master of Social Science in Economics at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), graduating with distinction in both programs.
Before joining academia full-time, I worked as a Research Associate at the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) under the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance, and as a Research Assistant at the Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP).
In addition, I contributed to multiple university-funded projects as a Research Assistant at the SUST Research Centre. Through these roles, I engaged in national and regional research initiatives covering microfinance, rural development, trade and financial policy, and health economics. I am passionate about evidence-based research, policy analysis, and fostering an engaging, analytical learning environment for my students.
I have received several academic and co-curricular honors, including Honorary Merit Scholarships for both my bachelor’s and master’s results, as well as a SUST scholarship recognizing excellence in co-curricular activities and organizational leadership. Additionally, I secured first place in the essay writing category of the National Child Award Competition 2010 from the Dhaka Cantonment Thana, Bangladesh.
