I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at East West University and a macroeconomist specializing in dynamic macroeconomics, fiscal policy, and quantitative policy design. Driven by the critical intersection of economic theory and mathematical rigor, I hold a Master of Mathematics from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) and a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka.

Alongside my academic tenure, I serve as an Economist for the Domestic Resource Mobilization project at the Policy Research Institute (PRI), backed by the FCDO, and have collaborated on core institutional research with the International Growth Centre (IGC) and the Copenhagen Consensus Center (CCC). I have been a pivotal contributor to Bangladesh’s national macro-planning frameworks, applying structural analysis to formulate background research for the Seventh and Eighth Five Year Plans, the Perspective Plan 2041, and the Delta Plan 2100.

As an active researcher, my work appears in reputable peer-reviewed international journals, including Resources Policy and Journal of Financial Economic Policy. My current research agenda leverages advanced quantitative tools to model complex economic systems, specifically investigating inflation dynamics and public debt sustainability, optimal taxation, public expenditure and economic growth using non-linear discrete-time differential equation systems and optimal control theory.
