The Department of Business Administration, East West University, organized an insightful guest lecture for students enrolled in ITB451: Global Sourcing and International Trade Operations, and ITB301: International Business (Sections 1 and 2) on 16 July 2026. The lecture session was conducted by Mr. Debasish Chakraborty, who shared his extensive experience and entrepreneurial journey in the export industry. Drawing from his practical expertise, he discussed the dynamics of international trade, effective price negotiation strategies with foreign buyers, and the key challenges exporters commonly encounter in global markets. He also highlighted practical approaches to overcoming these obstacles while emphasizing the skills and mindset required to build a successful career in international business. The interactive session concluded with a lively question-and-answer segment, where students engaged in meaningful discussions and gained valuable industry insights, enhancing their understanding of global sourcing and export management.

About our Alumnus Mr. Debasish Chakraborty: Debasish Chakraborty (Founder & CEO, Chamak Solutions Limited) graduated from the Department of Business Administration (DBA), EWU. Debashish started managing export operations in 2013, first as a jobholder and later as an entrepreneur. He received his "Master of Public Administration & Entrepreneurship" degree from Cornell University (an Ivy League University) in the USA.
