Uddokta 101 Participants Gain Practical Insights into Apparel Manufacturing and Fashion Entrepreneurship

Participants of the Uddokta 101 initiative at East West University recently embarked on a comprehensive and highly insightful factory exposure visit to Color Craze, a prominent and fast-growing apparel manufacturing and fashion enterprise. Coordinated by Abu Sadat Muhammad Ashif, Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration, the day-long immersive visit provided emerging entrepreneurs with a unique opportunity to bridge theoretical business concepts with real-world manufacturing and market operations.

Throughout the interactive tour, the participants explored the end-to-end production workflow of a contemporary clothing factory, tracking the journey of garments from design conceptualization and fabric sourcing to cutting, sewing, rigorous quality control, and final packaging. Guided by factory experts and their faculty coordinator, the aspiring entrepreneurs gained critical knowledge on managing production lines efficiently, handling material supply chains, navigating regulatory compliance, and managing labor dynamics within the ready-made garments (RMG) and local fashion sectors. The visit concluded with an open-floor discussion on how small-to-medium fashion brands scale operations while maintaining strict quality benchmarks, leaving the future founders inspired and equipped with practical operational strategies to implement in their own ventures.
