The Department of Business Administration of East West University welcomes guest speakers from various industries and professional fields to share their knowledge and experiences with our students. The key objective of inviting experts is to provide insights from real-life organizational experiences to our students and to improve their comprehension in blending theory with practices.

Ishtiaq Hasnat Chowdhury, Vice President of a multinational financial institution operating in Bangladesh, conducted an online session for the students of Strategic Management course (MGT480). The online session took place on December 15, 2020 using Zoom Cloud Meetings platform. The session was named “Prepare Yourself for the Transition: Academia to Corporate”. Considering the culmination of undergraduate studies of the MGT480 students, who will face real life challenges by entering the corporate world leaving the academiapretty soon, this session was designed. The graduating students need to be on the right track regarding their entries into the corporate arena and prove themselves. This session, therefore, aimed at enhancing students’ preparedness for professional life along with special emphasis on COVID-19 business scenario affecting the business world. Though the session was initially scheduled for 2 hours, it finally took 4 hours to finish. The extent of enthusiasm can be imagined from such figures. We are very grateful to Mr. Chowdhury for his tireless efforts and honest intention to educate young minds. We are also very happy for the lively and enthusiastic participation of our students as well. Mr. Chowdhury’s delivery was whole orchestrated, informative and sincere reflecting his depth of knowledge and vast experiences. He answered student queries with interest and intelligence. The Department of Business Administration takes pride in inviting Mr. Ishtiaq Hasnat Chowdhury, who is a former graduate of this Department and an MBA from IBA, the University of Dhaka. 

Another online lecture session was arranged for the students of International Business (ITB301). The date was December 21, 2020 and the time was 7 o’clock in the evening. Ms. Fatema Tuj Juhra, Lecturer, Department of International Relations, Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) was the speaker of the session. The title of the session was "US Presidential Election 2020: Future Implications in World Order and International Trade Relations". Ms. Fatema shared her extensive experiences on the subject with our students. Faculty members Ms. Jannatul Ferdous Shetu and Ms. Fariza Binte Mahbub from the Department of Business Administration were present. 

A 3rd online lecture session was arranged by Mr. Reaz Hafiz, Senior Lecturer, for the students of International Marketing (MKT408) course on 02 January, 2021. Sheikh Atiqul Alam, Business Intelligence Developer, Philip J Boren Inc, USA; Ex Trade Marketing Manager, Arla Foods Bangladesh Ltd. and Reza Shahbaz Hadi, Deputy Component Director, SACP Project, Department of Agricultural Marketing, Ministry of Agriculture were the presenters in this very interactive and interesting session involving multiple speakers. Made in Bangladesh” was the topic of the session. The theme of the presentation session was to identify the export opportunities for Bangladeshi products that have innovative features & newness. The participants have learnt about the strategies of capturing foreign markets and various. The topic of the lecture session was Government incentives and facilities that facilitate foreign exports.
