Webinar on “Compensation & Reward Management for Health Professionals, Factory Employment Benefits in Leather Footwear, RMG Sectors & Global Conglomerates from Bangladesh Perspective” has been organized by the Department of Business Administration (DBA), East West University (EWU) on 19th November, 2025 for Human Resource Management (HRM) major students (Students of HRM- 411, HRM-412 & HRM-413 attended the webinar in presence of Faculty Member, Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman Sarker, Associate Professor, DBA, EWU at Room-354 (Lecture Gallery). The session brought together three distinguished speakers who shared practical experiences and sector-specific compensation insights.
Students gained a comprehensive understanding of compensation dynamics in healthcare through Dr. Fabia Hannan Mone (NHS, UK), who highlighted the financial realities of medical interns and junior doctors, noting the limited rise in internship pay despite heavy workloads. She also discussed career pathways, long training hours, and the growing shift of graduates toward administrative, NGO, and international roles due to compensation gaps.
From the corporate side, Mr. Atiqur Rahman Tuhin (Former Head of Digital Marketing, PRAN-RFL; Marketing Consultant, UK) shed light on structured salary systems in conglomerates and multinational companies. Mr. Tuhin emphasized the growing demand for digital skills, performance-based incentives, and strategic career planning. His session offered HR and business students essential guidance on navigating competitive corporate environments.
Addressing industrial compensation, Mr. Md. Syfur Rahman (Enterprise Advisor & National Consultant, ILO and Adjunct Faculty Member, SEIP, EDC, EWU) provided an overview of wages, benefits, and compliance practices in the RMG and leather footwear sectors. Mr. Rahman compared standard factory packages with the superior compensation structures of multinational manufacturing firms and explained ILO’s consultancy opportunities and international pay scales.
The webinar gave students an in-depth view of cross-sector disparities in compensation, underscoring the importance of non-wage benefits such as transportation, insurance, and meal subsidies. It also highlighted how transferable skills, such as communication, analytics, and digital literacy, influence employability and career growth.
The event successfully bridged academic learning with real-world industry insights, equipping HRM students with practical knowledge essential for future careers in compensation management.
