EWU HOSTS SEMINAR ON “DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN HR THROUGH HRIS”
A seminar titled “Digital Transformation in HR Through HRIS” was successfully held at East West University on 5 February 2026 at Razia Samad Lecture Gallery. The seminar was organized by the Department of Business Administration, East West University, with the active participation of faculty members from the Human Resource Management (HRM) discipline of the department. The session was conducted under the coordination of Abdullah Al Sayed, Senior Lecturer, East West University.
The seminar was led by Mr. Md. Rashedul Hasan, Senior HR Consultant at WorkSMART Consulting, who served as the resource person. With more than 19 years of professional experience in Human Resource Management, Mr. Hasan shared valuable insights into how Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) are transforming modern HR functions and enhancing organizational efficiency.
The session was highly interactive, with enthusiastic participation from HRM major students, particularly those enrolled in HRM 417 (Human Resource Information System). Alongside an engaging discussion, a structured question-and-answer session was held, allowing students to interact directly with the resource person and clarify practical issues related to HRIS implementation.
To further enhance experiential learning, students participated in a five-minute problem-solving activity, followed by a three-minute presentation of their proposed solutions. This activity fostered critical thinking, collaboration, and the practical application of HRIS concepts.
Overall, the seminar provided students with valuable practical exposure to digital transformation in Human Resource Management and successfully bridged the gap between academic knowledge and real-world HR practices.
