The Finance discipline of the Department of Business Administration (DBA), East West University (EWU) hosted the third session of its Spring 2024 Guest Speaker Series on May 21, 2024. This session, titled ‘Appraisal of Project Financing and Credit Analysis,’ was held in the Lecture Gallery of the university and was specifically tailored for students enrolled in FIN 435 (Managerial Finance) and FIN 408 (Financial Analysis and Control).

Mr. Saddat, a distinguished expert in the corporate sector, was invited to share his insights on project financing and credit analysis due to his relevant industry experience and expertise. He is the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Head of Corporate at Meghna Bank PLC, as well as the Director of Meghna Bank Securities Ltd.

The session featured an insightful presentation delivered by Mr. Saddat. During the session, the speaker shared valuable knowledge on project financing and credit analysis, drawing from his extensive experience in the corporate industry. His discussion included real-world examples and current practices, giving students practical insights into financial management and corporate banking. Mr. Saddat’s expertise offered a clear and relevant context to the concepts covered in their courses, enhancing students’ learning experience with tangible, real-world applications.

Dr. Tanbir Ahmed Chowdhury, Professor, DBA & Director, Executive Development Centre (EDC) at EWU, delivered the welcome speech at the session. The other faculty members from the DBA were present in the session too, which signifies the dedication of EWU in nurturing a culture of intellectual curiosity and practical learning.
