On 29 July 2026, the Department of Business Administration organized a guest lecture titled “Beyond AI: Creativity and Systems Thinking in a Machine-Driven World” at Lecture Gallery 354. The session was delivered by Mr. Naguib Chowdhury, Senior Knowledge Management and Learning Officer at the World Bank, Washington, DC.

Drawing on more than 20 years of professional experience across international organizations, Mr. Chowdhury shared practical insights into the evolving role of artificial intelligence, the importance of systems thinking, and the enduring value of human creativity in an AI-driven world. He encouraged students to cultivate critical thinking, adaptability, continuous learning, and problem-solving skills to remain competitive in the future workplace.

The interactive session offered MIS students a valuable opportunity to bridge academic concepts with real-world perspectives. Through engaging discussions and practical examples, participants gained a deeper understanding of how emerging technologies are transforming organizations and the skills required to thrive in the evolving digital economy. The lecture inspired students to embrace lifelong learning and prepare themselves for the opportunities and challenges of the AI-powered future.
