Expert Session on “Navigating through Foggy Career Path: A Courageous Tale of an Alumnus

Debasish Chakraborty (Founder & CEO, Chamak Solutions Limited), an alumnus of the Department of Business Administration (DBA), EWU; spared his valuable time to engage students with his real-life experience in navigating career path. Being a self-made entrepreneur, Debasish recently graduated from the Cornell University (one of the Ivey League universities), USA. 

It is almost inevitable that undergraduate students’ thought processes are often surrounded by the dream, fear, and fascination of their future career journey. Navigating through this gloomy path, Debasish, once a student of EWU, has proven himself as a successful entrepreneur and exporter of this country. He brought insightful details and fascinating experiences to the classroom that enriched and energized aspiring future managers and entrepreneurs. The expert session academically aligns with strategic career move, detecting pitfalls and grabbing opportunities in the career path, developing an export start up that is tricky, risky, but fascinating at the same time. While being a successful entrepreneur in Bangladesh, seeking opportunities for higher studies in world renowned universities was an exceptional career move of Debasish. Later, this world class academic learning invigorates his entrepreneurial career move to a new high by attracting global angel investors for his local venture. This inspiring knowledge and experience sharing session by Debashish was a fascinating learning experience for the participating students of Strategic Management and International Business. This expert session took place on 10th September 2024 (Tuesday) at Razia Samad Lecture Gallery (Room # 242).
