The East West University Department of Business Administration recently organized a webinar titled, “Career Prospects of Bangladeshi Tax Consultants Around the Globe” on Wednesday, 21^st January, 2026 at 5 PM through Google Meet at the university campus.

Students of HRM 301 as well as students from other HRM courses participated in this webinar. At 5 pm, the webinar started. The resource person for this webinar was Dr. Nazim Uddin, who is a lecturer at Department of Business and Economics, Algoma University, Toronto. By profession, Dr. Uddin is also a tax consultant in Canada as well as a part time lecturer at Ankara University, Turkey. The webinar aimed to provide students the knowledge and insights of future career growth and necessary education for being a tax consultant.

Dr. Nazim Uddin, at first, spoke about the necessary qualifications, role and salary range for a tax consultant in Canada, Turkey and Malaysia. He also spoke about the perks a tax consultant can get in these countries. Then, he shared knowledge about essential tax deductions in Canada as well as smart tax planning strategies along with common tax filling mistakes that any tax consultant should avoid if they are employed in Canada. He also spoke about the corporate tax process. And lastly, Dr. Uddin emphasized how technology enhanced the efficiency of tax filling processes. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and learn valuable information through google meet. The Department of Business Administration, EWU plans to organize more seminars and webinars to enhance the base knowledge of our students in career prospect.
