A Visual Tribute: EWU EconClub's Graffiti Project for Social Justice
On August 10, 2024, the East West University Economics Club made a powerful statement with a collaborative graffiti project that honored the martyrs of the 'Students against Discrimination' movement. This event brought together faculty, students, and alumni from the Economics Department to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The vibrant and thought-provoking graffiti covered the walls of EWU and surroundings serving as a visual representation of the students' commitment to social justice and remembrance. These artworks not only honored the July (2024) martyrs but also shed light on the ongoing issue of discrimination. Through this creative initiative, the EWU EconClub showcased their dedication to addressing important societal issues and sparked dialogue and reflection within the East West community. This event highlighted the growing influence of youth in making their voices heard and demonstrated the department's commitment to academic excellence, patriotism, and social responsibility.
