Professor Abdul Bayes Joined on 1 January 2020 as adviser to the MBA / EMBA Program at East West University. As a leading researcher in economics he has more than forty years of experience as a teacher, researcher, policy maker and consultant in different areas both home and abroad. He has published 17 books and 10 articles in internationally indexed journals. He is a regular columnist of the Financial Express.
He has consultancy experience with IRRI,IFPRI, ADB, World Bank, Danish embassy and The Netherlands embassy.
Professor Abdul Bayes was the Vice Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University and chairman of Bangladesh NGO Foundation. Before joining at East West University he has served as a Director of Research, BRAC Research and Evaluation Division (RED).
He did his M. Eco. From the University of New England (UNE), Armidale, Australia and also from Dhaka university. He has a post graduate diploma in economics from the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra. His research interest includes Agriculture, International Trade (Exchange Rate, Industry Policy), Rural Development and Rural Livelihoods.
