Training and Development: Bridging Theory and Practice in Today’s HR Landscape
The Department of Business Administration at East West University organized a seminar on May 4, 2025, as part of the HRM 415 (Training and Development) course. The session, titled “Training and Development: Bridging Theory and Practice in Today’s HR Landscape,” was conducted by Md. Ishfaqur Rahman, Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist & HRBP (Technology) at Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd., and was held in Room 226. Assistant Professor Laila Zaman attended the session alongside her students.
The seminar provided students with practical insights into the field of training and development. It explored essential topics such as training needs assessment, the overall training process, program design, and methods for evaluating training effectiveness. The aim was to enrich students’ academic understanding with real-life HR practices, preparing them to direct and contribute effectively to Bangladesh’s dynamic employment sector.
