The Department of Business Administration of East West University welcomes guest speakers from various industries and professional fields to share their knowledge and experiences with our students. The key objective of inviting experts is to provide insights from real-life organizational experiences to our students and to improve their comprehension in blending theory with practices.

1. Dr. Rumana Afroze, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, East West University organized an online lecture session for the students of Human Resource Planning (HRM 411), on April 6, 2021. The session was conducted by Mr. Mustofa Mahmud who is currently working as Head of Human Resource in Bongo. He has achieved many professional degrees like SHRM-SCP, SPHRi, sHRBP, C-KPIP, C-HRAP. Previously he has worked in IFIC Bank as Deputy, Staffing and Resource Planner. He has also worked in Rangs as Head of Human Resource and in RANCON as Divisional Head. In this session, he has delivered an amazing speech on human resource planning process and practices. 

2. Another online guest lecture session was organized by Ms. Tamanna Parvin Eva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of the Business Administration, for the students of Compensation Management (HRM 412), on April 10, 2021. The guest speaker of the session was Zakir Khan, who is an SHRM-CP and is currently working as a senior HR manager in Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In the session, Mr. Zakir Khan has shared his knowledge about the current scenario of compensation management in the corporate world including Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. 

3. Dilruba Hussain, SPHRi, HR Development Consultant of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), conducted an online session for the students of Human Resource Management. The online session took place on April 12, 2021 at 7.00 pm. The session was named “Exploring a Career in Human Resource Management”. Considering the culmination of undergraduate studies of the HRM students, who will face real life challenges by entering the corporate world leaving the academiapretty, this session was designed for them. The students need to be on the right track regarding their entries into the corporate arena and prove themselves. This session, therefore, aimed at enhancing students’ preparedness for professional life. We are very grateful to Ms. Hussain for her tireless efforts and honest intention to educate young minds. We are also very happy for the lively and enthusiastic participation of our students as well. Ms. Hussain’s delivery was whole orchestrated, informative and sincere reflecting her depth of knowledge and vast experiences. 

4. A 4^th online lecture session on ‘Let’s Talk HR’ was conducted on 12th April 2021 at 7:30 pm with the presence of the students who are doing their major in Human Resource Management. This session was arranged by Ms. Silvia Akter, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, East West University. Mohammad Shahan Shah Azad, Chief Executive Officer at Sajeeb Group was corroborating as the guest faculty and also acted as the Chief Guest of the session. Mr. Azad has talked about the changes in the business landscape and the role of human resource professionals. As per Mr. Azad, he described capable HR manager would work on issues and challenges to prevent the organizational activities from being obstructed, as the COVID-19 pandemic can incapacitate any company at any time. HR leaders need to have clarity on values, with a deep understanding of who the company is and what it stands for on this corona pandemic. The session runs for almost two hours and ended with a profound comprehension of the current pandemic.
