Department of Business Administration, East West University has successfully organized the second session of the Research InFocus on 10^th March, 2022 via the virtual meeting platform Google Meet. Dr. Rumana Afroze, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, East West University has delivered the keynote presentation. The topic of the presentation was: “Impact of Online Learning on University Students’ Engagement Amidst COVID19: BD Perspective”. 

In her research, Dr. Rumana Afroze has identified the primary pieces of literature in the area of online learning and extended it further by focusing upon areas such as devices used in online learning, mental health, and its impact on online learning amongst others. The research shows that most of the respondents (undergraduate and graduate students) preferred online learning compared to traditional learning while a majority of the respondents also said that it is not easy to complete online assignments or group projects easily. Dr. Afroze has recommended the use of updated technology and greater participation to improve the overall engagement of the students in this new normal situation of educational pedagogy. 

Professor Dr. Syed Ferhat Anwar, Academic Adviser of the East West University made comments on the paper. Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department, and other senior faculty members were present on the occasion.
