East West University Students Present Research Papers at International Conference in Romania
Imtiaz Ahmed (2024-3-10-070, 6th semester), along with co-author, Md. Saif Sikder (2024-3-10-073, 6th semester), presented research papers at the RESILNAT-3C 2026 International Conference (Resilience and Competitiveness of the National Economies – Under the Sign of Creativity, Crisis and Conflicts), organized by the Institute of National Economy, Romanian Academy, held on June 11-12, 2026, Bucharest, Romania.
In addition, Imtiaz Ahmed served as the first author of the paper titled "MaB-FAEs: Climate-Smart Floating Agro-Ecosystems for Resilient Food Systems in Saline-Affected Coastal Bangladesh", independently conducting all stages of the research from data collection through to final manuscript preparation, under the supervision of Md. Shafiqul Islam (Senior Lecturer, Brac Business School, Brac University). Md. Saif Sikder, as a co-author provided support during the presentation. The paper proposes mangrove-based floating agro-ecosystems as a scalable, sustainable, nature-driven solution to food insecurity and livelihood vulnerability among coastal communities facing severe salinity challenges in Bangladesh.
