EWU Faculty of Business and Economics Hosts Seminar on Modern Recruitment Practices

The EMBA & MBA programs, DBA, Faculty of Business & Economics of East West University organized a seminar titled " Recruitment Decoded: What Recruiters Really Look for Beyond the CV” on Sunday 8 PM at the university campus.

At 8pm, the esteemed guest, Mr. Nazran Kabir, assistant vice president and head of recruitment of EBL graced us with his presence in room- 242.

The seminar aimed to provide both BBA and MBA students and early-career professionals with practical insights into contemporary recruitment practices, emphasizing skills, attitude, ego, mindset, and workplace readiness beyond academic qualifications.

Mr. Nazran shared his experience as the head of human resource division of EBL. He emphasized how students need to know about the organization beforehand, how to make their CV unique, proper usage of AI and how it was an advantage. He emphasized how communication with faculty members is important for fresh graduates. Above all, he forbade the students to not put any false information in their CV. In advice, he told the students to know about the position, responsibility, workload before applying for any organization and standing for the interview.

Participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions and ask questions related to career preparation. A faculty member and students of the EMBA, MBA, and DBA programs attended the session.

The Faculty of Business & Economics plans to organize more career-focused initiatives in the future.
